Everton in the Community and The Prince's Trust have a strong partnership, which has developed over a number of years.
Via linking with The Prince’s Trust, Everton in the Community aims to play a positive role in the personal development of hundreds of 16-25 year olds from Liverpool and the north west of England through involvement in various activities that develop skills, confidence and motivation which could help them gain nationally recognised qualifications and, ultimately, employment.
Everton in the Community supports The Princes Trust by providing:
- Work placements
- Player involvement
- Motivational talks
The courses provided by The Prince's Trust are open to all young people aged 16 to 25 who are employed, unemployed or engaged in the New Deal.
This partnership between The Prince's Trust and football clubs all over the country has been massively successful with 75 per cent of Trust volunteers who were previously unemployed going on to either find employment, enter further education or undertake more training.
From those who were already employed, 90 per cent of employers report an improvement in the skills and attitudes of employed participants on their return to work.
