Everton are urging fans to sign up to this year’s Santa Dash and help turn the city Blue at Christmas.
The Club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, is aiming to recruit 1,878 supporters to don blue Santa suits and complete the 5K course through Liverpool city centre on Sunday, 4 December.
The Blues’ official charity is hoping to raise in excess of £50,000 by kindly asking all participants to raise a minimum of £25 in sponsorship.
Everton in the Community relies heavily on the kindness of its supporters to continue the vital life-changing work it does.
The charity is proud to deliver a range of programmes to promote health, education, social inclusion and equality of opportunity across Merseyside using the power of sport.
The Blues’ official charity aims to instil confidence in people by creating life-changing opportunities and thousands of people have already benefited from the magnificent work they do.
Everton in the Community’s work is vast and includes providing routes into education, training and employment, steering young people away from crime and anti-social behaviour and engaging children and adults, regardless of ability, in physical activity. In addition to helping individuals, Everton in the Community helps other charitable groups improve the lives of local people.
Everton in the Community’s Fundraising Officer, Carena Duffy, said: “It would be fantastic to recruit 1,878 supporters for the Santa Dash. Not only will you be raising money for Everton in the Community, but also helping to turn the city blue this Christmas!
“We are grateful to everyone who supports Everton in the Community and all the monies raised from the Santa Dash will be invested into the vital programmes we deliver across Merseyside and the North West of England to improve the lives of vulnerable and underprivileged people.”
The Santa Dash takes place on Sunday, 4 December. For more information or to sign up please contact the Everton Fundraising Team on 0151 530 5260, email email@example.com or visit evertonfc.com/community.
