Following on from the success from the 'Blue Heaven' which some of you kindly supported, Everton in the Community have built a relationship with West Everton Community Council (WECC).
WECC will be holding a music festival 'Out of the Blue' which will be held on Saturday 2nd July from 12 - 7pm in Everton Park, off Great Homer Street, L5 5PH. Prior to the event a family fun run will take place in Everton Park.
The first Out of the Blue Music Festival took place in October 2009 to an audience of around 500. The event helped to galvanise the local community following the murder of young Joseph Lappin. As well as showcasing the talents of local artists, the first event introduced many to the potential of Everton Park as a beautilful location to host artistic and community events and performances.
In the summer of 2010, 2000 people from across the City as well as locally attended teh Festival which showcases a mix of professional and amateur bands and community performances with creative arts, drumming, singing, theatre, dance and music, physical theatre, acrobatics, circus skills and activities for all.
Everton in the Community will be supporting this event in 2011 , providing soccer skills sessions, taking along our Club mascot; Chang the Elephant, and providing volunteers to help out on the day.
