Blues Bag A Hat-trick

Everton Football Club will be looking to net an eye-catching hat-trick after being shortlisted in three categories of the Northwest Football Awards.

No strangers to success at these awards, the Toffees have been named as contenders for the Community Initiative of the Year, Community Club of the Year and Best Club Marketing Campaign gongs.

The respective shortlists were each drafted by a judging panel, with the Blues already seeing off a number of rivals to land their shot at a triple success.

This year's Northwest Football Awards ceremony will take place on Monday 4 November at Lancashire County Cricket Club's The Point.

Launched six years ago to celebrate the region’s brightest and best in the game, the awards pay tribute to and recognise those who have achieved footballing excellence both on and off the field over the past 12 months.

While successful players and managers are honoured on the evening, the awards also celebrate achievements across all areas of the region's professional clubs - from the Premier League to the Blue Square Premier Division - including the best community initiatives, marketing campaigns and sponsorship engagement.

Special categories on the night will also recognise the Northwest Football Journalist of the Year, a Lifetime Contribution to Northwest Football and an Unsung Hero. The Fabrice Muamba Award will also be handed out to someone who has excelled in the area of Medical & Sports Science.
