25th Anniversary

I am delighted to invite you to be part of Everton in the Community’s 25th Anniversary celebrations.
This season we are celebrating our silver jubilee and will embark on a campaign to raise awareness of our achievements and make Evertonians proud of the work their Club undertakes to support and inspire its local community.
Everton in the Community was established on 1 February 1988 and over the last 25 years it has grown to be one of the most well respected and pioneering sporting charities in the UK. The charity has been at the forefront challenging health and social issues, including anti-social behaviour, disability, mental health and education ever since.
Everton in the Community coaches, employees and volunteers work seven days a week to support their local community. In the last year alone the charity has reached out to 30,000 participants across all programmes, contributing to a 55% reduction in anti-social behaviour and a 79% reduction in crime in challenging areas, gaining approval to open a Free School to improve the life chances of local young people and introducing an innovative mental health programme to support our ex-service personnel.
During our 25th anniversary campaign we have set ourselves an ambitious fundraising target of £1m, which will help us in our mission to reach out to even more vulnerable and underprivileged people on Merseyside - for the next 25 years and beyond.
We are asking 40,000 supporters, the capacity of Goodison Park, to each raise just £25 to help achieve our target of £1m.
There are many fun and exciting ways to raise money for charity, which are very rewarding and often inspiring. To find out how you can get involved in fundraising activity click here.
Please also browse through the site and read about our fantastic and innovative programmes and also the people who have been helped and supported by Everton in the Community.
None of this fantastic work would be possible without the generous support we receive from Evertonians across the country, and for which I am eternally grateful for.
Please join us and get involved in what will be a truly memorable campaign and help us reinforce our title as the ‘People’s Club’ across Merseyside and the North West of England.
Thank you and good luck!
