Employment,  education and training is high on the agenda for Everton in the Community.

Education

The charity offers people the chance to access educational and training opportunities to suit their learning needs and help them improve their future. Everton in the Community recognises the value of education and training but realises that not everyone wants to learn in the same way.

The charity delivers a range of educational and employment courses which use the benefits of vocational learning to engage students to achieve academic success.

Employment

Since 2009 Everton 4 employment has engaged with over 400 local people through a series of courses.

With the figure of those claiming Job Seekers Allowance in Merseyside rising to over 55,000 the employment programmes boast a staggering 97% retention for candidates, progressing them to job-ready status and has supported almost 50% into employment. Of those, over 80% have sustained their employment for at least six months or more.

Working in partnership with JobCentre Plus, DWP, Mersey Care NHS Trust, Ingeus, Barclays Premier League Remploy, Merseyside District councils, colleges, universities and other training providers.

Engaging  with a variety of local employers to secure job outcomes, work experience placements, training courses or industry-specific support to the programmes, Everton in the Community greatly appreciate any assistance provided for candidates that can potentially provide that life-changing opportunities to all involved.

In addition to specified programmes, the charity's employment arm delivers regular sessions to Safe Hands, Apprentices, Young Ambassadors, Princes’ Trust and EITC volunteer and disability programme participants.
